From day one is a series of images about local small businesses in the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. This series was presented as a small fanzine for ONBarcelona magazine.
One of the main reasons to buy in a local business is because of the quality of the products, which are usually also local. Buying in those businesses has a direct impact in oneself. The truth about these kinds of business, though, is that after the economic crises and its effects, most of them have closed or will do soon.
With this project I invite you to think about many of the local alternatives we have against big enterprises.
